Never leave the accident scene until it is all over. If you leave the scene where people got injured you can face serious criminal penalties for a hit and run.
Exchanging information- When everyone seems to be ok, collect information of any drivers, passengers, and witness if you can. Get their names, numbers addresses, ID and insurance card. If there are passengers also obtain their licences, ID and phone numbers.
When talking to the other parties at the seen try not to admit any fault or say sorry. It may show or express liability. Just make sure everyone is ok and get as much information at the scene as possible.
Taking Photos- If you are able to take pictures at the time, I highly recommended you do so. Pictures are a great piece of evidence to show insurance companies how damaged your vehicle was in the accident. Photos are also used in court so that the jury may see the comparison of how highly impacted your vehicle was and how you sustained injures.
Be careful when talking to your other people about your accident. DO NOT TALK TO A REPERESENTATIVE OF ANTHER INSRUANCE COMPANY. The reason being is that they can use what every use say to them against you
